About Us
Meet the Team
Kurt and Shaunese Alexander, founders of Financial Revelation LLC, are a married couple with four children living in the Washington, DC metro area. Kurt, an Army veteran and retired federal employee, achieved financial freedom by age 30 and is passionate about helping others take control of their finances. Over the years, Kurt has provided financial guidance to friends, coworkers, neighbors, and members of his local church.
Kurt grew up in 1980s and 1990s in New York City, raised by a single mother who struggled financially. Despite growing up in a challenging, crime-ridden environment, he graduated high school in just three years and enlisted in the Army Reserve at age 17.
Kurt’s 14 years of Army service included active-duty tours in Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, and Qatar. It was during his time in Iraq, at age 23, that Kurt developed an interest in personal finance. Upon returning to the U.S. in 2004, Kurt began his journey toward financial freedom, tackling his own debt while building a career as a federal civilian employee and continuing his Army Reserve service.
Kurt later met Shaunese, started a family, and faced financial hardships when his federal employment temporally paused. With a newborn, no health insurance, and $32,000 in debt, the couple relied on food stamps while working to rebuild their finances. Once Kurt returned to federal civilian service, they gradually overcame these challenges and ultimately achieved financial stability. In 2023, at the age of 44 Kurt retired early from his federal civilian career to dedicate more time to his family and create Financial Revelation, LLC.
Today, Kurt and Shaunese are on a mission to help others achieve financial freedom. Through Financial Revelation LLC, they aim to empower individuals to reach their financial potential and promote lasting financial independence.
